The clock is chiming 9 am and I’m not done with the blog (my goal is to have the blog post up by 9 am on Thursdays) – so excuse me for rushing right into the photos (of which I have over 80!).
Remember the Furniture Gallery is another source of viewing our inventory though neither it nor the blog are as good as physically coming into the store (in my humble opinion) which you are all invited to do either today from 1 to 8 pm, tomorrow also from 1 to 8 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm!
Let’s go!
this isn’t the first time I’ve shown you this brand new from the Merchandise Mart SEVEN piece sectional (lots of different configuration options) from Tropitone – BUT it is the first time it’s been reduced 40% off the already low Jubilee Furniture price of $1,999! It’s now $1,200! Since this furniture retails for $5,000 our $1,200 price tag is 75% off the retail price! Yowza! Sweet oval wood top and metal base coffee table for $55
very nice Berhardt sleeper sofa – I noticed some slight wear on the underside of one of the arms – priced $295
really beautiful – made in Italy – glass top table with four chairs – priced $165
classic, clean lined sofa from Crate & Barrel – in excellent condition – priced $275 (throw pillows on it are priced separately)
amazing, old (antique?) chifferobe (haha! I had to look up that word) priced $295. You can see a mirror on a stand in the closet area that belongs on top of the dresser piece. Drawers need some work – but it’s a really gorgeous piece!
lovely chaise – looked to be in really good condition (though on the price tag it mentions a small rip on the arm that I couldn’t find). Priced $125
this Lazboy rocker/recliner is in mint condition! It’s a faux-leather fabric (but not pleather – it’s softer than pleather). Priced $165
Room & Board sofa looks great but there’s an inner spring that needs to be repaired. Priced $195
this is a super cool old chair in a peacock blue floral upholstery that’s in very good condition (must have been re-upholstered within the last few years). Priced $150. Since you know I always try to give you any negative with the positive – this isn’t a very comfortable chair. I’m guessing it was designed when everyone sat with ramrod straight backs! No slouching in this chair! Haha!
I love the muted colors on the upholstery of this Room & Board sofa that’s in excellent condition! Priced $225
LOVE this two piece small writing desk! The top part is lighted. It’s in excellent condition and is priced only $85 (won’t last long at that price!)
this is an absolutely gorgeous Bauhaus, light tan, micro-suede sofa in excellent condition – priced $445
two piece (one part’s a sleeper the other the chaise) dark brown, micro-suede sectional by Z Gallery priced $295. Wood, glass and metal square side table has been reduced 25% and is now $48.75
this GORGEOUS Romweber (“Furniture of Timeless Beauty”) desk with right return is amazing! This company – which was located in Batesville, Indiana – first manufactured their Viking Oak collection in the 1930s and continued through the 80s. “Inspired by Scandinavian folk art, the inviting design of this sturdy, classic line is as at home in a lodge retreat as it is in a well-loved family room.” (found at this site). What I especially love about this piece is it isn’t huge – it’s a more compact design but offers ample storage and work surface. Completely finished – quite beautifully – on all sides. Can you tell I think it’s a fabulous piece? Priced $425
lovely painted and faux antiqued cabinet for $155
absolutely FANTASTIC camelback sofa for $115
pristine smaller wingback chair for $85
This Interline by Rowe plaid loveseat looks to be in perfect condition! I love it! Priced only $75!
lovely Century Furniture sofa! Last photo shows a small tear in the upholstery at the top of the sofa. Priced $75
gosh – I wish I could have taken a better photo of this unusual coffee table. It’s a distressed pine base and under the glass are two rusted wrought iron pieces which gives it a rustic and interesting appearance. Priced $165
If you ever wanted a sofa that was like no other sofa in any of your friends’ homes – than I think this is the sofa for you! I actually think it’s very cool. It’s a dark brown, crushed velvet sofa with amazing wood trim and the $115 price tag includes the ottoman. One of the back legs has been repaired (fyi)
you’ll never hear me complaining about the sun streaming in our amazing windows – but it was a little hard to capture the beauty of this bedroom set by Bassett because of it. There’s a tall armoire which is priced $165; nightstand for $25; dresser with two mirrors for $65 and a full or queen size headboard for $45. All looks to be in good condition
youngAmerica is a division of Stanley Furniture and this set includes a medium size dresser for $45; smaller dresser for $35; full size headboard, footboard, side rails and slants for $95
do you have a need for a medium sized round table? Because this one is fabulous! It was designed to accommodate leaves – and unfortunately we don’t have them – but it’s still a really lovely table as is! Priced only $45
homeworks is a division of Sligh Furniture and this is an amazing corner office desk with tons of storage! The glass in the doors is that cool glass with bubbles (which I love!), Priced $995 for the whole thing!
if you thought you’d missed the boat with our $8 brand new outdoor cushions I have good news for you! We received another donation LAST NIGHT and I had fun throwing them pell-mell on top of our current selection. The new additions are great neutral colors and there are lots of sizes. Customers are thinking outside the box with these – and coming up with interesting ways of using them! Why? Because at $8 per cushion it’s too good of a deal NOT to! Haha!
Please excuse any typos, dear reader – the morning has really gotten away from me! Take care!
